8月23日，国家主席习近平向中国－上海合作组织数字经济产业论坛、2021中国国际智能产业博览会致贺信。

Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Forum on the Digital Economy Industry and the Smart China Expo 2021 on Aug 23.

习近平指出，世界正进入数字经济快速发展的时期，5G、人工智能、智慧城市等新技术、新业态、新平台蓬勃兴起，深刻影响全球科技创新、产业结构调整、经济社会发展。

The world has entered a period of rapid growth in the digital economy, in which new technologies, business patterns and platforms such as 5G, artificial intelligence and smart cities have sprung up and greatly influenced scientific innovation, industrial structure adjustment and economic and social development across the globe, Xi said in the letter.

2020年11月10日，国家主席习近平在出席上合组织成员国元首理事会第二十次会议时提出重要倡议：“要抓住新一轮科技革命和产业变革机遇，加强数字经济、电子商务、人工智能、智慧城市等领域合作。中方将于明年在重庆举行中国－上海合作组织数字经济产业论坛，为各方开展创新合作搭建平台”。

2021年8月17日，中国—上海合作组织数字经济产业论坛新闻发布会召开。据介绍，中国—上海合作组织数字经济产业论坛将于2021年8月23至25日在重庆举行，与2021中国国际智能产业博览会同期举办。

中国－上海合作组织数字经济产业论坛的主题为“发展数字经济，促进共同繁荣”，上合组织18个国家(含中国)，以及上合组织秘书处、上合组织实业家委员会、上合组织青年委员会有关负责人以线上线下的形式出席本次论坛。

【重要讲话】

在上海合作组织成立20周年之际，中国愿同各成员国弘扬“上海精神”，深度参与数字经济国际合作，让数字化、网络化、智能化为经济社会发展增添动力，开创数字经济合作新局面。

On the occasion of the 20th founding anniversary of the SCO, China is willing to, together with other SCO member states, carry forward the Shanghai Spirit and get deeply involved in international cooperation on the digital economy. Digitization, networking and intelligence shall provide more momentum for economic and social development, breaking new ground in digital economy cooperation.
