近日，中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平给普洱民族团结誓词碑盟誓代表后代回信，对他们予以亲切勉励并提出殷切希望。

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, recently replied to a letter by descendants of the representatives from diverse ethnic groups who established an oath-taking monument featuring ethnic unity in Pu'er. In his letter, Xi conveyed warm encouragement and sincere wishes to the descendants.

普洱民族团结誓词碑被誉为“新中国民族团结第一碑”。1950年，云南普洱专区各族代表应邀到北京参加新中国成立一周年庆祝活动，受到毛泽东等党和国家领导人亲切接见。1951年元旦，普洱专区各族群众举行盟誓大会，以少数民族的风俗习惯立下誓词碑。盟誓立碑后，各民族兄弟姐妹用实际行动践行“一心一德跟党走”的铮铮誓言，推动边疆地区经济社会发展取得了历史性成就，书写了民族团结进步生动篇章。
