中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平近日对全面依法治国工作作出重要指示强调，坚持党的领导、人民当家作主、依法治国有机统一，合力开创法治中国建设新局面。
President Xi Jinping has called for upholding the unity between Party leadership, the running of the country by the people and law-based governance, and making concerted efforts to break new ground in advancing the rule of law in China. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in a recent instruction on comprehensively promoting the rule of law.

党的十八大以来，党中央把全面依法治国纳入“四个全面”战略布局予以有力推进，全面依法治国总体格局基本形成，中国特色社会主义法治体系不断完善，中国特色社会主义法治道路越走越宽广。2020年11月，党的历史上首次召开中央全面依法治国工作会议，将习近平法治思想明确为全面依法治国的指导思想。5年后再次召开中央全面依法治国工作会议，正逢“十四五”收官在即、“十五五”谋篇布局的关键时期。
习近平对全面依法治国工作作出重要指示强调，新征程上，要全面贯彻新时代中国特色社会主义法治思想，坚持党的领导、人民当家作主、依法治国有机统一，聚焦建设更加完善的中国特色社会主义法治体系、建设更高水平的社会主义法治国家，更加注重法治与改革、发展、稳定相协同，更加注重保障和促进社会公平正义，全面推进科学立法、严格执法、公正司法、全民守法，全面推进国家各方面工作法治化，为以中国式现代化全面推进强国建设、民族复兴伟业提供有力法治保障。

We have intensified efforts to advance socialist rule of law in our country, and a comprehensive framework for law-based governance has taken shape. We have sped up work on developing the system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics. We have made major progress in reforming the judicial system, thus providing more effective protection for social fairness and justice. These efforts have opened new ground for advancing the rule of law in China.
我们要坚持走中国特色社会主义法治道路，建设中国特色社会主义法治体系、建设社会主义法治国家，围绕保障和促进社会公平正义，坚持依法治国、依法执政、依法行政共同推进，坚持法治国家、法治政府、法治社会一体建设，全面推进科学立法、严格执法、公正司法、全民守法，全面推进国家各方面工作法治化。
We must follow a path of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics, develop a Chinese system of socialist rule of law, and establish China as a socialist country under the rule of law. We must, with a focus on protecting and promoting social fairness and justice, pursue coordinated progress in law-based governance, law-based exercise of state power, and law-based government administration and take integrated steps to build a country, government, and society based on the rule of law. We will make all-around efforts to ensure sound legislation, strict law enforcement, impartial administration of justice, and society-wide observance of the law and see that all work of the state is carried out under the rule of law.
