Presiding over the 23rd group study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on November 28, 2025, Xi called for sustained efforts to cultivate a clean, healthy and sound online environment.

Cyberspace governance is a crucial task for building China's strength in cyberspace, and has a bearing on China's development and its national security as well as on the immediate interests of the people.

党的十八大以来，我们把网络生态治理摆在重要位置，不断壮大网上主流价值、主流舆论、主流文化，有效打击遏制网络乱象，网络生态总体向上向好。这些年的实践让我们深刻认识到，抓网络生态治理必须坚持党的领导、坚持人民至上、坚持守正创新、坚持法治护航、坚持系统观念。

Since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the Party has accorded high priority to cyberspace governance, continuously strengthening mainstream values, mainstream public opinion and mainstream culture on the internet, and effectively combating unhealthy online content and practices. As a result, the online ecosystem has generally been improving and becoming more positive.
