The 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held in Yan'an from April 23 to June 11 in 1945 adopted Mao Zedong Thought as the Party's guiding ideology. A new chapter called "General Programme" was added to the Party Constitution passed by the congress. Mao Zedong was elected chairman of the Central Committee, chairman of the Political Bureau and chairman of the Secretariat at the First Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Central Committee in June of 1945. He was appointed chairman of the Central Military Commission at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in August of the same year.
1945年4月23日—6月11日，中国共产党第七次全国代表大会在延安举行。大会确立毛泽东思想在全党的指导地位。大会通过的《中国共产党党章》增加“总纲”部分。6月，七届一中全会选举毛泽东为中央委员会主席、中央政治局主席和中央书记处主席。8月，中央政治局会议决定毛泽东为中央军事委员会主席。
