2020年初，新冠肺炎疫情来袭，严重地危害了人民的生命健康，给大家带来了难以磨灭的伤痛记忆。
“生命重于泰山，疫情就是命令。”危难面前，中国人民在以习近平同志为核心的党中央的坚强领导下，举国上下齐心协力，众志成城，打响了这场没有硝烟的战争。
在这场战“疫”中，广大新闻摄影工作者勇往直前，用自己的镜头记录了党和政府沉着应对危机的种种有力措施；记录了医护人员勇敢逆行，与病毒殊死搏斗的瞬间；记录了解放军官兵闻令而动，为抗疫保驾护航的画面；记录了社区、乡村群防群控工作中的动人场景；记录了各行各业以自己的方式支持疫情防控工作、积极捐赠物资的感人事迹。
为讲好中国抗疫故事，全面记录并生动地展现中国人民坚定信心、同舟共济、科学防治、精准施策，打好疫情防控阻击战的全过程，由中国日报社主办、特想文化集团等单位协办的《百名摄影师聚焦COVID-19》项目，在第一时间向广大摄影师征集抗疫主题摄影作品，并编成这本画册。
多年来，特想文化集团一直与中国日报社保持良好的合作关系，支持并参与了多次“百名摄影师聚焦”项目。作为一家有责任担当的企业，我们希望通过这本画册，呈现一幅幅鲜活的画面，讲述一个个生动的故事，记录这一段深刻的历史，展现中国力量，弘扬中华民族的伟大精神。
The sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus in early 2020 has jeopardized thehealth of many people, and its impact has left psychic trauma on the nation.
‘‘Concern for people’s life is as heavy as a mountain, coronavirus outbreak requires an emergency response.’’ Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core, Chinese people with concerted efforts and united will have engaged in a resolute fi ght against the virus.
In this battle, photographers, with their lenses, have recorded how the Party and government have adopted effective measures to contain the spread of the virus; have captured the moments of how medical workers treat and take care of patients infected with the virus; and caught the scenes of how People’s Liberation Army soldiers have done their bit for the fi ght; and kept the sights of how community workers and villagers have worked in their own ways to prevent and control the spread of the virus. Their efforts provide a kaleidoscope of how people from all walks of life have participated in the fi ght.
To tell a good story of China’s battle against the virus, to show a panorama of how Chinese people have fought this battle, 100 Photographers Focus on COVID-19, organized by China Daily along with Wink Culture Group as well as other organizations, has collected photos from photographers and compiled this timely album.
