十三届全国人大三次会议5月25日在北京举行第二场“部长通道”。工信部部长苗圩表示，目前，我国每周大概增加1万多个5G基站，4月份单月新增700多万个5G用户，国内5G用户累计已超过3600万。

“More than 10,000 new 5G base stations are being built in China every week, as the nation scrambles to accelerate commercialization of the super-fast wireless technology.”

工信部部长苗圩说：“今年以来5G加快了建设速度。现在每一周大概要增加1万多个5G基站。”

Miao Wei, minister of Industry and Information Technology, said in April alone, more than 7 million mobile users subscribed to telecom carriers' 5G data package plans.

苗圩表示，5G用户仅4月份一个月，就增加了700多万。

The increase brought the total number of China's 5G mobile subscribers to more than 36 million by the end of April.

截至4月底，我国5G用户累计已经超过3600万。

Miao said 5G technologies have already played an active part in supporting remote medical services, video interviews and assistance in other areas.

苗圩说，5G技术在支持远程会诊、视频连线和其它领域都起到了积极的作用。
